TERMS OF SERVICE

By purchasing The Legacy Book — PDF Edition (the "Product"), you ("Customer", "you") agree to the following Terms of Service with Myloot SAS, a French company registered under SIREN 929 274 926, with offices at 37 Avenue de l'Île de Migneaux, 78300 Poissy, France ("we", "us").

1. THE PRODUCT

The Legacy Book — PDF Edition is a guided workbook delivered as a downloadable PDF, designed to help American families organize their estate, digital accounts, wishes and final messages. It includes the main 85-page workbook plus 3 bonus PDFs.

2. LICENSE GRANTED

When you purchase the Product, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Product for your personal use only. This license includes:
- Downloading the PDF on your devices
- Printing the PDF for personal use
- Filling it out on screen or by hand
- Sharing it with your spouse, executor, or trusted family members in the context of your own estate planning

This license does NOT include:
- Reselling the PDF, in whole or in part, in any form
- Distributing copies to people outside your household
- Removing branding or copyright notices
- Using the content to create a competing product
- Redistributing on file-sharing platforms or online forums

3. NOT LEGAL, TAX OR FINANCIAL ADVICE

The Legacy Book is an educational and organizational tool. It is NOT:
- A substitute for a will, trust, or other legal document
- Legal, tax, financial, or medical advice
- A guarantee that your estate will pass without dispute, probate, or taxes

The content covers U.S. federal frameworks (Social Security, IRS, RUFADAA, etc.) and flags state-specific issues, but laws vary by state and over time. You are responsible for consulting a qualified attorney, tax professional, or financial advisor for your specific situation.

We make no warranties about the legal validity, completeness, or accuracy of any document filled in using The Legacy Book.

4. PAYMENT

The Product is sold for $59 USD (or local equivalent at checkout). Payment is processed at the time of order. Once payment is confirmed, the Product is delivered immediately as a downloadable PDF.

5. DIGITAL DELIVERY AND CONSENT

By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to receive the digital content immediately upon payment, and you acknowledge that, under French consumer law (Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code), you waive your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

This waiver does not affect your 30-day money-back guarantee under our Refund Policy, which is a contractual benefit we offer in addition to legal rights.

6. REFUNDS

See our Refund Policy. Briefly: we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked, by emailing contact@thelegacybook.net.

7. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Legacy Book — including its text, layout, illustrations, and chapter structure — is the intellectual property of Myloot SAS. All rights reserved. Reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use without our written consent is prohibited.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Product is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability, in any event, is limited to the amount you paid for the Product in the 12 months preceding the claim

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection laws.

9. UPDATES AND VERSIONING

We may release updates to The Legacy Book over time. As a customer, you receive lifetime access to updates of the version you purchased. We notify you by email when a significant update is available.

10. CONTACT AND DISPUTES

For any question or concern, write to contact@thelegacybook.net. We respond within one business day.

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any issue within 30 days.

If we cannot resolve the dispute amicably:
- For customers residing outside the United States: French law applies, and the courts of Versailles (France) have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring the dispute before your local courts.
- For customers residing in the United States: you may bring claims in your local state or federal courts under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated to existing customers by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Product after that period constitutes acceptance.

12. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
